Four systems
What runs across your floor decides which one you need.
Four systems go down on concrete floors in Fort Worth. Flake, quartz and metallic are epoxy floor systems, and something goes on top of the slab.
Polished concrete is not a coating. Diamonds open the slab up and a densifier hardens it. The concrete you already have becomes the floor.
Call it all epoxy if you like, we're not going to correct you on the phone. Epoxy or polyaspartic settles what the words actually mean.

What holds
What the floor is stuck to.
Three of the four rest on a bond between resin and concrete. The fourth doesn't.
When a resin floor fails, it usually fails at the bottom. The coating was fine, the bond under it wasn't. That's why we grind the slab open.
The box at the hardware store sells you the coating. It leaves the slab to you, and the slab is the part that decides the outcome.
A polish has no bond to lose. The slab itself decides how far the shine goes, and that gets checked first.
On our flake and quartz systems: a 10-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty. If it peels or delaminates because of our prep or our application, we fix it.*
