Gilded Surfaces ("we", "us", "our") is the floor coatings division of General Striping, LLC, a licensed contractor in Fort Worth, Texas. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Information we collect

When you request a quote or contact us, we collect the information you give us:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• The city or ZIP code where the work would take place
• Details about the space you want coated, including square footage and any photos you choose to upload

When you visit our website we also collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the time you spend on them. We use cookies and similar technology for this. You can turn cookies off in your browser, though parts of the site may stop working properly.

How we use your information

We use what you give us to:

• Respond to your quote request and schedule an on site estimate
• Confirm appointments and send reminders
• Answer your questions about work we are doing or have done for you
• Send you the estimate, the invoice and any paperwork related to your job
• Improve our website and our services

How we contact you

The quote form on our website has a consent box covering three channels: phone calls, text messages and email. If you check it, you are giving Gilded Surfaces express written consent to contact you on any of those about your request. That includes confirmation that we received your request, appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, the estimate itself, and updates about work in progress.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can ask for a quote, receive an estimate and hire us without checking that box. If you leave it unchecked we will use only the details you gave us to get back to you about your request, and nothing else.

You can withdraw consent for one channel without withdrawing it for the others. Reply STOP to a text to stop texts, use the unsubscribe link in any email to stop email, or simply tell us to stop calling.

Text messages specifically

Message frequency varies depending on your request and the status of your job. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier plan.

To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any message from us. You will get one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and we will not text you again unless you sign up a second time. For help, reply HELP or call us at (682) 224-0240.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories described in the "Sharing your information" section below exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it.

We share information only where it is necessary to do the work or to run the business:

• Service providers who operate our website, our customer relationship system and our scheduling and messaging tools, and who are only permitted to use the information to provide those services to us.
• Subcontractors or suppliers, where a specific job requires it, and only the information needed for that job.
• Legal requirements, where we are required by law, subpoena or court order to disclose information, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety.

Photos you upload to the floor visualizer on our website are sent to fal.ai, an image AI service, to make your preview. We store the photo and the preview so the preview can be shown to you again, and we delete them within 90 days. We do not use them for anything else, unless you send them to us with a request.

As stated above, text messaging opt-in data and consent are never included in any of this sharing.

How we protect your information

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you give us, including encrypted connections to our website and access controls on the systems that store customer records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and customer records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. When we no longer need them, we delete them or make them anonymous.

Your choices

You can:

• Ask us what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong
• Ask us to delete your information, subject to any records we are legally required to keep
• Unsubscribe from text messages by replying STOP
• Unsubscribe from email by using the link at the bottom of any email we send

Children

Our services are for property owners and businesses. Our website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant we will say so clearly on our website.
