We profile your surface to clean and open the concrete, and expose any cracks or weaknesses for repair before applying epoxy. We then apply the base coat and broadcast system of your choice, followed by the protective top coat the following day. The next step is to walk the floor with you for final approval. Minimal time on site, installed by our own crews.

Quartz
A heavy-duty quartz broadcast that stands up to traffic and equipment. In a garage it is the call when hard wheels run the same line every day. Most garages do not need it.
Metallic
A one-of-a-kind marble effect. Pigment is poured and worked while it cures, so no two floors come out the same. It goes down in a garage the same way the other two do. The difference is that you pick it for how it looks.

Sun on the first strip
That first strip inside the door gets sun. Standard epoxy yellows in sunlight. That's the chemistry, not a defect. It is why the clear coat in these systems is normally a UV stable polyaspartic. A UV stable top coat protects what is under it. It does not make the floor immune.
Hot tires
Hot tires come in off the road all summer. Hot tire pickup is not a tire problem, it is an adhesion problem. A coating that is bonded to open concrete and built thick enough does not come up with your tires.
Oil in the pores
Oil is already in the pores. We pull it out before we grind, because grinding over grease drives it deeper into the slab.
A slab that moves
And the slab moves. Slabs in this part of Texas shift with the season, some more than others. A coating does not bridge a crack that still moves.
A crack that has stopped moving we fill. A joint that still works we respect, because a coating smeared over a working joint tears anyway.
Cracks, oil, and old coating are part of the estimate, not a surprise later. We look at all three when we walk the slab. They are in the written price before you sign anything.
Water under the slab
Concrete sits on the ground and the ground holds water. If that water has nowhere to go, it collects under the coating and pushes it off the slab. It is one of the ways a coating fails that has nothing to do with the coating, and it is decided before anyone opens a bucket.
Shops and service bays
When the garage is a shop.
A shop floor is a garage floor that never gets a day off. Hot tires all day, oil that has been in the pores for years, and fluids a home garage never sees.
Flake is the classic auto shop floor. It hides what the slab has been through, adds grip, and takes a dropped tool. Where a bay gets hosed down, quartz is the call, and the top coat decides the grip.
Brake fluid, not just oil.
Brake fluid softens a lot of coatings. Battery acid wrecks them.
No floor coating is chemical proof. Coatings are resistant to specific chemicals, at specific concentrations, for a specific amount of time. Tell us what actually hits your floor and we will tell you what holds.
A lift that stays put.
A two post lift is bolted to the slab and it is not going anywhere for us. We look at the base plates and the bolts on the visit. How the floor meets them is in the written price.
Customers walk through it.
A homeowner slips in their own garage. In a mechanic shop it is a customer, on your floor, in front of the service counter.
Any smooth resin floor is slick when it is wet. In a shop that is a liability. Grip is a choice we make with you, not something you find out later.
Days closed are days not billed.
A typical garage is two days on site. A commercial garage is measured on the visit, not guessed from a photo. Tell us which bays have to stay open and you hear what that does to the schedule before you sign.

It depends on the slab, the prep, and the system. Send photos for a ballpark, and the written price comes after we see the floor.
You can, and there is no shame in it, but it is a different job with the same name on the box. A kit is a thin coat of epoxy and a bottle of acid. Acid does not open the concrete the way grinding does: it leaves salt in the pores and a wet slab behind it, and the coating manufacturers call for mechanical prep. A thin film on etched concrete is also exactly what a hot tire lifts. We grind the slab down to clean, open concrete first. The box sells you the coating. You cannot shop for prep.

The work carries a 10-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty on adhesion. If it peels or delaminates because of our prep or our application, we repair it. Inside work runs year round here. Heat and humidity limit what we can do outside, and a garage floor is inside work.
